Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers are the heartbeat of any event, and we’d love for you to help us deliver the 2023 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships!
We have really ambitious plans for the World Championships, and to deliver this we will need around 300 enthusiastic volunteers to help us showcase Canoe Slalom to the world with not only the competition, but the wrap around activities too.
You don’t need to be an expert about canoe slalom, or have even volunteered before, we will find a role to suit you.
When volunteering, you will receive:
- Canoe Crew clothing (likely to be tshirt/polo shirt, hoodie and waterproof)
- Lunch (on all days) and hot dinner onsite (during competition week) when you are on shift (shift dependent)
- Pre-event training (virtual event training and role specific training where applicable)
- Invitation to the Canoe Crew party on Saturday 23 September 2023
- Access to watch the action when you are not on shift via your accreditation pass
- Discounted camping at local campsites of £12.50 per pitch per day secured.
- For those volunteering for more than 3 days, British Canoeing will contribute up to £12.50 per night thereafter (this basically means for those who are camping, free camping for any nights beyond your third night. And for those who prefer not to be under canvas we will contribute £12.50 towards your accommodation costs beyond your third night).
