We are looking forward to welcoming athletes from across the world to the Lee Valley White Water Centre for the 2023 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships.

The World Championships is being organised with athlete experience at the forefront of all of our planning. We aim to provide a platform for athletes from across the globe to perform, whilst providing a great experience on and off the water.

Training

Official Training for the 2023 Slalom World Championships will take place on the following dates:

  • Training Period 2 – Wednesday 6 to Sunday 10 September 2023
  • Official Training – Tuesday 12 to Monday 18 September 2023

We know a number of nations and athletes would like to train at the venue in addition to the above official training in advance of the World Championships. Information on how to book training at the venue and reserved slalom training slots is available here.

Competition

The competition will be run over six days from Tuesday 19 to Sunday 24 September 2023:

  • Tuesday 19 September – Team Events
  • Wednesday 20 September – Canoe Heats
  • Thursday 21 September – Kayak Heats
  • Friday 22 September – Canoe Semis & Finals
  • Saturday 23 September – Kayak Semis & Finals
  • Sunday 24 September – Kayak Cross Time Trial and Elimination Phases
