The National Water Sports Centre and Event Partners. Expo and market opportunities.

Expo and Market Opportunities

As part of the event, we look forward to welcoming a range of traders to the event. There are a couple of different ways that traders can get involved.

Market Day

On Saturday 2nd July, which is the conclusion of the World Championships and a wider paddlesport festival, we will set up a market in the main car park at the site.

On a summer Saturday, people flock to the site, even without the World Championships, so we expect to welcome thousands of people to enjoy the festivities.

We hope to have a wide range of products available to those attending so if you are interested in having a stall, please complete the expression of interest form below.

As organisers we will endeavour to minimise the duplication of products available so please detail in your response the items that you will look to sell. Due to event and site regulations, unfortunately we are unable to welcome traders selling alcohol or those who are selling food or drink to be consumed on site. Traders are welcome to sell products that can be consumed elsewhere.

The cost for a stall is £100+VAT for the day with stall holders able to trade from 10am-6pm. The market will be on hard standing and stall holders will be required to bring their own gazebo or set up as required and ensure that their stall is appropriately secured.

We are also pleased to welcome charities and community organisations who wish to exhibit within the market. If these groups are not trading from their stall then they are welcome to attend free of charge but still need to register in advance to attend.

Expo

There is also an opportunity for traders to exhibit or trade on site throughout the week.

Whilst we expect the biggest footfall on Friday and Saturday, traders are able to attend for as many days as they wish. Midweek stalls will be close to the course in a grass area and traders can choose to remain in place for the Saturday or relocate to the larger market. Costs can be negotiated based on the number of days traders wish to attend. To discuss this further, please contact Richard Stacey-Chapman on richard.stacey-chapman@britishcanoeing.org.uk.

Terms and Conditions

In order to trade at the market, stall holders must:

The event organisers reserve the right to refuse entry to, or to remove, any stall holder not adhering to the market terms and conditions.

Anti-social behaviour in any form will not be tolerated. Any stall holder not entering into the community spirit of the market, or failing to operate to instructions or guidance from any of the organisers or volunteers may be asked to pack up and leave the site.

Stall holders are directly responsible for the safety and management of their own stock, stall and the space surrounding their stall. The event organisers will not accept responsibility for any lost, damaged or stolen goods during the set-up, opening and close-down of the market.

The event is environmentally and sustainability conscious so please be aware of this when selecting your products to sell. Bins will be provided on site and stall holders are asked to manage their waste and recycling responsibly throughout the duration of the market.

The organisers retain the right to cancel the market due to weather conditions, a natural catastrophe or man-made disaster, including closure due to Covid 19 or similar government enforced closure. In these circumstances, decisions will be made at the earliest possible opportunity and all stall site payments will be refunded in full as soon as possible.
